The MNGR Presents: SILO Launch Event

The MNGR is an online magazine run solely by students at the University of West London. It has been started as an online print, which writes reviews of artists and other interests within the music industry. The team are all students passionate about music and are studying Music Management, with one of the members studying Advertising and PR. Everyone has their own skills which come together to create a successful online magazine. The MNGR is now creating its first event, this will be the first of many to come.

The aim of the MNGR is to promote and review local artists to increase exposure for UWL/LCM students, doing this by putting events on and using the online publication as a platform.

The MNGR’s launch event is due to take place on Monday 13th March 2017 at The Grange in Ealing – a quaint country pub in the outskirts of buzzing London. The pub currently has a promotion where guest can get their first drink free by entering their email onto the website.

The event will see three artists performing original material to showcase their talent. Guests will also have a chance to network between sets and meet other like-minded individuals. As well as forming professional relationships in a casual environment.

Julian Graham

The first artist is London based Julian Graham who draws influence from blues and rock and is inspired by artists such as Noel Gallagher, Jamie Cullum and John Mayer. The MNGR is also getting an exclusive preview of the music video to Julian's latest single 'Eternal'. This video will be released exclusively on The MNGR's website for the night of the launch.

The next act is a 6-piece band called Bedroom / Boredom, they are an Indie band from the Surrey and London area, two of which study at the University of West London. Their music is described as Indie/Rock Pop. They have gained inspirations from groups such as Bombay Bicycle Club and Foals. The MNGR has created a video interview with two members of the group which is available to view on our Facebook and Twitter (link available below).

The final act is show man Ishy Dee, originally from Zimbabwe. Ishy draws his heritage into his music and adds RnB and Soul to his songs. He started producing music at the age of 14 and has since progressed into a successful musician and performer.

The night will be filled with good music and the opportunity to network with local musicians, management students and industry professionals.
